    I am a musician, graphic designer, clothing designer, actor, model, and CEO of Slum Children. I founded Slum Children to represent the inner child that is often lost when you live in the hood-forced to grow up fast. Aside from my individual goals as a multi-faceted artist, it is my purpose to inspire you, as all things are possible. Despite it all, never stop dreaming.

    Being responsible for the majority of Slum Children’s creative catalog, Christian Raymond is a talented videographer/creative director based in Brooklyn, NY. With a love for film and a passion for visual storytelling, Christian brings creativity and professionalism to every project. Whether it's a cinematic visual, an event, or a branded video, Christian’s work captures the essence of each moment, making every frame feel alive and unforgettable. With a wide range of knowledge of technical aspects of camera work and lighting, whilst also bringing vibrant energy to each shoot, Christian is the go-to videographer for clients who want their vision brought to life in the most compelling way.

  • I originally created Slum Children as a way to identify and build a community safe for people who are chasing their dreams. Eventually, I met my-now closest-friends, and together, we organized as an artist collective. Behind this company-behind me as an artist-there is a team of visual artists and a dedicated marketing team.

    Child is a clothing brand I founded in 2024. Creating clothes was something I always wanted to do. It took a long time for me to figure out how to start a business independently.

  • The words “slum” and “child” have two different meanings.

    “Slum” represents the hood as well as the experience of not having enough.

    “Child” represents the innocence lost when growing up in the hood as well as the actual children who are affected by forces that predates their existence.

  • You can email the team: media@slumchildren.net. I pick artists that align with my vision and branding. I don’t care about popularity or accolades. I always pick my openers based on what makes sense-who has a passion like I do.
